DO IMMIGRATION
Year: 2013-2014
Location: St. Petersburg, Russia
Space: 200 m²
Status: completed
Team: Delo Studio

Do Immigration is a casual wine bar located in Fligel cluster in one of
St.Petersburg's central courtyards.

«ack in 2013, the bar occupied a small space on the second floor in one of the buildings. That year, it was complemented by a staircase with a distinguishing portal and a small balcony. A year later, the space was expanded: a porch was built on the roof of an adjacent one-story building, and the new bridge was thrown across the courtyard, providing a link between several bar spaces.
The bridge rests on steel supports fixed at different angles in order to ensure the stiffness and stability of the whole structure. The supports are placed at the necessary distance from the houses for the passage of cars.
Both the construction process and the interior design feature affordable materials and elements which have been in use before. For example, the windows of the porch were dismantled and moved to the bar from a different site.

Most of the furniture pieces and interior objects were crafted by talented enthusiasts rather than professionals.
